Which earrings suit you best?
If you want to know which kinds of earrings will suit you, then you need to work out which of the various different facial types you have. Fortunately, it is easy to do and all that is needed for you to realize what facial shape you have, so just take a look at in the mirror and consider which of the following facial types best describes yours.
If you have a heart-shaped face, it has a broad forehead and cheekbones, tapering to a narrow or pointed chin. Just look at Reece Witherspoon, she has a classic heart shape face. These benefit from earrings that give the impression of some additional width at the bottom of your face. Keeping this in mind, avoid thin, dangling earrings or small stud earrings. It is a better strategy to choose some larger, hanging earrings with teardrop or maybe rounded shapes.
A square face would be one where the shape of the face appears roughly as wide as it is long and with very little narrowing at the jaw and the forehead. Sandra Bullock is a well known, celebrity square face. In this case, steer clear of small earrings such as stud-type earrings, as they won't complement your features. The type of earrings that you want to go for is those that will soften the overall look of your face by adding swirls and round shapes.
If you have a round face, like Cameron Diaz or Catherine Zeta-Jones, you will get what you need from earrings that are long and also have a little angularity to them, which will both elongate your jaw and also break up the roundness, too.
With an oval face,
you would notice that it appears widest at the cheekbones, narrowing to the jaw and up to the top of the head. Megan Fox is a good example of an oval faced person. If you are lucky enough to be an oval faced person, congratulations! You can wear pretty much anything you like, though you should make sure you avoid very long, thin earrings in case it makes your face look too long.
An oblong face is predominantly narrower and longer in proportions. Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex In The City has a very pronounced oblong face.
